Porcelain Tile Deck Transformation in Titirangi

A tired Titirangi outdoor space rebuilt as a porcelain-tiled deck on the Silca System, wrapped in seamless glass so nothing interrupts the Auckland view. Twenty-one seconds, no talking.

This Titirangi deck started as a tired outdoor space and finished as the part of the house everyone wants to stand in. The surface is porcelain tile laid over the Silca System, which is what lets a tiled deck sit dead flat and drain properly on an elevated site rather than move and lift with the seasons. A seamless glass balustrade encloses it, chosen so the safety requirement takes nothing away from the outlook — from up here the Auckland backdrop is doing the work, and posts and rails would have cut that view into pieces. There is no commentary on this one and nobody in the frame, which is deliberate. Twenty-one seconds, the finished deck in its final state, and the view the whole build was arranged around.
