Drainage first, then the driveway

The driveway was the low point between the street and the house, and water collected there. We spent real time on the falls with laser levels, put the drainage in first around a new cesspit, and set every height across 70 m² of exposed aggregate around it.

Keeping the deck, changing the top

An old pine deck 2 m above a steep bush slope, rotting on top. The structure underneath was sound, so it was a re-surface, not a rebuild: Silca grates and 600 × 600 porcelain, with custom cuts around a triangle-shaped deck and every tile carried in through the garage.
