Inside the One Tree Hill build with PlaceMakers

Filmed at the One Tree Hill project, this one is an interview rather than a tour. PlaceMakers came to site and Kevin talks first about how Franc Landscapes works — the consent programme managed end to end, the specialists a job needs appointed and coordinated — and then about the job itself. The deck is half-moon Kwila, wrapped around an Outback stainless steel plunge pool and enclosed by a frameless glass balustrade so nothing interrupts the outlook. PlaceMakers supplied the building materials, from the Kwila through to the fixings; the balustrade came from elsewhere. Underneath it the pool sits about a metre into volcanic ground on a reinforced 25 MPa slab — the part nobody sees, and the part that decides how long the rest lasts.
